I Cuscinis
I Cuscinis (which is Italian for “The Cushions”) specializes in “the design of custom pillows with European flair to enliven both contemporary and traditional spaces with a sense of sophisticated fun.” For the I Cuscinis identity, we were asked to create something very clean and contemporary as a rendition of the company name, and to include a very brief tag line that identifies their business.
Since the pillows themselves will change over time and will always afford such a breathtaking variety, we felt that the clean, neutral identity would provide a beautiful “foil” to the visual complexity of the pillows themselves. For the I Cuscinis business cards, we also incorporated the bold and distinctive pattern of just one of the many beautiful custom pillows in the I Cuscinis oeuvre. This leaves the door open for additional and future business cards or other elements in print or on the web where a specific motif can be paired with the cool, classic look of their core identity.
