Credentialing
• Collection
of necessary data elements.
• Collection of necessary attachments.
• Review of data collected.
• Original source verification.
• Submission of applications follow-up on application status.
• Responding to requests for additional information and/or clarification.
• Annual re-verification of necessary data.
• Relief from the burden of credentialing from the practice: allowing you
to focus on providing care to patients..
Verification
of credentials and the preparation of credentialing applications for managed
care plans, other third party payors, hospitals, and related organizations
have become an increasingly time-consuming, costly, and duplicative process.
Compounding the matter is the duplication of effort necessary for credentialing
with multiple entities. MSI functions as a clearinghouse to reduce the burden
on the individual physician, physician group, medical director, and practice
administrator. When working with MSI, you provide the information and MSI does
the rest.
With in-house credentialing efforts (see below), a practice must submit identical
information to each organization, and it must respond to requests from each
organization
for additional information individually.
MSI functions (see below) as the clearinghouse for credentialing information
and verification, greatly simplifying the process for the practice and reducing
the burden of
redundant paperwork.
